Service Description
Formerly called Reader Reports, whether you're looking for an in-depth evaluation of a short story, a comic script, a novella, or a long-form novel, I can help! Once your project is received, I will read it and provide you insight on the following: - character development - dialogue - plot and thematic clarity and consistency - how to analyze your character's choices and ways of thinking/seeing - analysis of your main conflict and identify ways to strengthen it - suggestions on where to make cuts, or where to expand further - world building and setting - structural issues within the prose as well as the story And more! To book this service, you will pay a non-refundable deposit of $250CAD plus GST/HST of your province/territory. In your intake form, please indicate the length and type of your project. I will email you and let you know the final cost and provide an invoice based on these criteria. A 30 minute Zoom meeting is included in this deposit to meet with me and go over what you're looking for in your fee Here is a breakdown of full pricing: Short stories under 5,000 words -- $115 + GST/HST Novellas/projects under 20,000 words -- $400 + GST/HST Novellas/projects under 40,000 words -- $800 + GST/HST Novels under 80,000 words -- $1100 + GST/HST Longer novels under 100,000 words -- $1600 + GST/HST Long novels 100,000-150,000 words -- $2200 + GST/HST Submit your project as a word document in 12 point Arial font. Cancellation Policy
All work submitted to Samantha Beiko (the Contractor) for evaluation is owned exclusively by the Client. Any editorial or developmental advice given on a given project will be considered under the discretion of the client. Fees paid to the Contractor for any consulting work are subject to the taxes and fees within the Client's territory, and are non-refundable once the work has been received. One on one meetings can be rescheduled within reason, however two reschedulings will result in an additional charge to hold another appointment slot. Rescheduling or cancellations must be done via email to Samantha.beiko@gmail.com
