Service Description

Looking for a less involved, but still valuable look at your manuscript, with insightful comments as well as a general fix of sentence structure, grammar, and punctuation? This service includes 2 passes, and is a combined light edit and proofread. To book this service, you will pay a non-refundable deposit of $500CAD plus GST/HST of your province/territory. In your intake form, please indicate the length and type of your project. I will email you and let you know the final cost and provide an invoice based on these criteria. A 30 minute Zoom meeting is included in this deposit to meet with me and go over what you're looking for in your feedback. The cost of a full in-depth developmental edit is 2c CAD per word (+GST/HST of your province/territory). EX: a 50,000 word novel would be $1000CAD + GST/HST; an 85,000 word novel would be $1700CAD + GST/HST TURNAROUND TIME: this is dependent on the length of your manuscript. Typically, a first pass will be complete within the week of submission. The project will be sent back to you to make edits based on this initial pass. A second pass will again be within a week of the Client's edits. The edit will be considered complete with this second pass. If you require the book back within 1 week of receipt, there will be a $250 rush fee. AGAIN this is a lighter-touch edit and more structural but will still include some developmental suggestions.
