Full Developmental Edit

Service Description

Looking for a line-by-line edit of your project, including multiple passes with deep, insightful notes that will make your project sing to its full potential? This is the service for the full scale under-the-hood development of your manuscript! To book this service, you will pay a non-refundable deposit of $500CAD plus GST/HST of your province/territory. In your intake form, please indicate the length and type of your project. I will email you and let you know the final cost and provide an invoice based on these criteria. A 30 minute Zoom meeting is included in this deposit to meet with me and go over what you're looking for in your feedback. The cost of a full in-depth developmental edit is 3.5c CAD per word (+GST/HST of your province/territory). EX: a 50,000 word novel would be $1750CAD + GST/HST; an 85,000 word novel would be $2975CAD + GST/HST TURNAROUND TIME: this is dependent on the length of your manuscript. Typically, a first pass will be complete within the week of submission. The project will be sent back to you to make edits based on this initial pass. A second pass will again be within a week of the Client's edits. The developmental edit will be considered complete with this second pass. PLEASE NOTE that this is for DEVELOPMENTAL PURPOSES only; this is NOT a Proofread (which seeks to clean up spelling, structural, and grammatical errors).
